About Maui Walking Tours LLC
Launched in early 2024, Maui Walking Tours LLC has done extensive research to uncover the best local
stories that prove why Maui is no ka oi (the best). Consulting with historians, authors, local kupuna,
historical practitioners, city officials, residents, educational outlets, and local architects, we have
assembled walking routes that will allow you to step back in time. Learn about how land was divided
and cared for by the early Hawaiians, the influence of the first missionary families, the formation of
large plantations, and the transition to a tourism-based economy. Become more familiar with the
colorful flora and fauna seen throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaii is unlike anywhere else in the world and we want to help you discover why.
Our founder has visited countless cities and countries over his lifetime. Through his travels he discovered some of the most memorable takeaways were experienced through free walking tours guided by locals that lived in each community. He learned about some of the oldest pubs in London to grab a pint, top bakeries to buy a baguette in Paris, haunted cemeteries to tread lightly through in KeyWest, farmers markets to explore in San Francisco, and on and on and on.Come have fun with us on one of our walks and see Maui through the eyes of a local resident who truly believes Maui is the best place on earth.
